News for 2010

We are managing the camp ground ‘Les Allouviers’ since June 2009 (in private management).
The first season allowed us to see what needed to be improved at the camp ground.

Here we present the list of improvement works we have planned for 2010.
Some of them have already started; others will be done during the spring of 2010.

Waste water disposal

All the pipes of the sewage system will be replaced.
This main project will permit a better operation of our waste water filtering system for 2010.
This allows (probably in 2011 or 2012) to be connected to the new local sewage plant.
These works are under way (November/December 2009)

Removal of the fixed fire places

As from 2010 there will be no more fixed fire places on the camp ground.
It will be forbidden to light fires on the camp ground.
Only individual barbeques will be allowed except if there is a drought.

Modifications of camping places

Balancing of the surfaces of the places A008 and A009,
(the A008 was too big compared to the A009).

Deletion of the places B134, B138, A012, A011, A023.

Enlargement of the B141.

Creation of the place B145 next to the B144.

Enlargement of the B115.

Creation of a new section for groups in the sector D instead of the places 309 -> 313,
(the places 309 à 313 will thus be deleted).

New playground for the children

The old installation on the children’s playground was outdated and did no longer meet to the security standards.
We preferred to replace them instead of repairing them.

New ping-pong tables

Removal of the old ping-pong tables.
The new tables will be installed between the children’s playground and the picknick shelter.

Automatic barrier

As from 2010 a badge or an entrance code will be needed to enter the camp ground with a motorised vehicle.
This will limit the traffic on the camp ground during the day as well as during the night.
Motorised traffic will be forbidden between 22h30 and 06h00 (the barrier will stay closed during this period).

Public zone around the lake

Between the bridge at the entrance of the camp ground and the far side of the lake
(at the camping place B137) a foothpath will be created.
This walking zone will probably not be finished before the autumn of 2010.

Renovation of the reception

Some renovation works are planned in the reception building to better receive our camping guests.

Reparations and improvements of the sanitary blocks

Posing toilet seats in all the sanitary blocks.
Replacing damaged or missing mirrors.
Replacing damaged or missing soap holders in the showers.
Replacing the tablets over the wash-stands in sanitary block 1.
Replacing the old shower systems in sanitary block 2.
Changing the valves of the exterior water taps.
Repairing the dish washing sinks of sanitary block 2.
Changing the exterior lightning of sanitary block 2, dish washing side.
Changing the water disposal of the showers in sanitary block 3.
Repairing the exterior doors of the sanitary block 3.
And many more...

Traffic lanes and public zones

New wooden fences to border the camping places, public zones, traffic lanes, etc… Most of these fences will be installed before the summer, the installation will be completed in the autumn of 2010.

Filling up pits on the traffic lanes to avoid pools of rain water. Mostly in the sectors A and C.

Installation of speed limit signs and adding some speedbumps.
